What are you passionate about?
Everything! I bring energy and passion to all that I choose to do. From church to community service to random acts of kindness, I give 110% or it is not worth doing.
What do you love most about EYEmergencyMD?
I love that EMD takes the guesswork out of who to see for an eye issue and makes getting care for your eyes as easy as getting care for any other ailment. Vision is precious. Ophthalmologists are specially trained to provide the highest quality care and help preserve your vision for your lifetime. Until now, poor access has kept many from getting the eye care they deserve. EMD changes that. We are only a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desk top away, wherever life may take you.
What do you see EMD achieving in the next 5 years?
The lack of access to quality eye care exists here, in the US, and abroad. Internationallly, we are losing the fight to the four leading causes of blindness: cataract, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy, not because treatment doesn't exist, but because treatment is not ubiquitous. I see EMD impacting that number in the next 5 years and beyond. I see less waste in health care dollars in the US over the next 5 years as a direct result of EMD providing an alternative to an ER visit for a non emergent eye issue. I see more patients with a primary EYE care home for routine exams and eye maintenance. I see global savings and increased public safety as prison systems are able to spend less on transport costs by providing in house eye care to inmates. I see a revolution in how eye care is provided, ignited by EMD.
